When one child in the family needs extra attention or care, their siblings often learn to adapt quietly. They might feel overlooked, take on extra responsibility, or struggle to express frustration or guilt about needing attention too. I specialize in supporting these kids—the ones who love their brother or sister deeply, but also need space to process their own feelings and experiences.
Sibling counseling provides a place where kids and teens can talk openly about what it’s like growing up with a sibling who has autism, ADHD, or other developmental differences. Together, we work on understanding emotions like jealousy, worry, pride, and even resentment—all normal and valid parts of their experience.
My goal is to help siblings feel seen, heard, and valued for who they are—not just for the role they play in the family dynamic. Through counseling, they can build self-esteem, communication skills, and a stronger sense of balance within their family relationships.
